3 easy Bliss Ball Recipes without a blender (V, GF, SF)

I’m often asked if I snack at all. As many of you know, I don’t use refined sugar. In addition, I eat vegan and gluten-free. So, as you might have guessed, it’s pretty hard for me to find store-bought snacks. And I’d probably end up empty-handed in most of the pastry shops too. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t like treats. On the contrary: In our home there is always something for the small appetite in between and also for coffee or after dinner I like to treat myself to a little – mostly sweet – snack.

Bliss balls are the ideal solution for me. They are quickly made, I always have the ingredients ready at home and most importantly: they are simply delicious. Everyone loves them. In addition, the base of the energy balls can be pimped super easily. This way you can really customize the bliss balls and adapt the flavours to your own and personal taste. Some of you may like it rather chocolaty, others prefer fruity and refreshing desserts. None of this is a problem.

Today I’ll show you what you need for the basic dough and how you can create a delicious snack with only two more ingredients. By the way: You don’t even need a blender or a food processor for these recipes. It can’t get any better. But: The recipes are also all vegan, gluten-free and free of refined sugar!

Now over to the recipes…

 

 

 

For the base of any flavour you’ll need:

  • 120 grams date paste (you can buy it or do your own)
  • 50 grams millet flakes
  • 10 grams of coconut oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

 

Lemon Goji:

  • zest of a 1/4 organic lemon
  • handful of goji berries (halved)

 

Vanilla-coconut:

  • 1/2 Bourbon-Vanilla bean, scratched out
  • Handful of coconut flakes (crush between fingers)

 

Peanut butter chocolate:

 

Instructions:

These bliss balls are so easy to make that you don’t need any big instructions. You can simply put all the ingredients together in a bowl – I recommend you to make the base dough first. After that, you can choose your options. If you want to try all three varieties directly, then make three times the amount of the basic recipe.

As soon as you have gathered all the ingredients, mix the mixture well with a spoon and knead the dough with cold but dry hands. Now you just have to shape the bliss balls using your hands.

Of course, anyone who wants to can decorate them. You can turn them into fruit powder, chopped nuts or cocoa powder. It’s entirely up to you.
